    Hitler used to bomb historical buildings and places as part of his bombing campain

    He had a touist book and if the places had a 3 star rating or more they were targeted by the german bombers.

    The Abbey is magnificent – well worth a visit . Village has excellent holiday cottages , good pubs, hotels etc Worth a visit and a good base for all of SE Wales. Brilliant local walking and golf ,you can canoe on the river from Monmouth and from Ross and there is good local fishing and birdwatching.Our family loves torchlit carol service in early December. Cold but wonderful start to Christmas not to miss
